IVI RMA is looking for a temporary Sonographer to float between our Freehold and Eatontown offices.
Working hours will be mornings from 6am-10am.
Job Purpose: The Sonographer is responsible for performing sonography appropriately and accurately to assist physician visualization and interpretation during gynecological procedures.
Essential Functions And Accountabilities
- Collaborates with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments.
- Establishes personal rapport with patients.
- Provides explanations of procedures.
- Performs detailed examinations of female reproductive systems
- Tracks fetal growth and development
- Identifies abnormalities
- Schedules and coordinates ultrasound examinations
- Prepares and maintains ultrasound records
- Calibrates and maintains necessary equipment and instruments
- May act as supervisor/team lead
Academic Training
- Completion of formal Ultrasound training and certification
- A.R.D.M.S. certification with OB/GYN specialization preferred
- Studies level: Certification
- Studies area: Ultrasound
- Current BLS Certification - required
- Studies level: Certification
- Studies area: BLS
Position Requirements/Experience
- Previous experience in women's health or reproductive endocrinology and infertility – preferred
- 2- 4 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist – required
Technical Skills
- Ability to effectively operate all pieces of equipment utilized within the scope of this job.
- Proficient in computer programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
