Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Birth Registrar.

In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for all aspects of completing and filing of birth, death and termination certificates in the Department. Provides clerical assistance when needed. Assist with the completion of the HIV Expedited Testing in the Delivery Setting and maintains statistics in the log book.

Job Responsibilities:

Completes and files birth certificates with paternity papers.
Other duties as assigned
Inputting data into NICU HPN system.
Typing for Managers and AVP.
Completes Maternal Pediatric HIV Prevention and Care Program Text History and Assessment and distributes copies as directed.
Copies and collates material as requested.
Assists in maintaining a hospitable, courteous environment in the office meets and greets patients, families, staff and other members of the health care team.
Maintains supplies of various certificates in an orderly fashion.
Responsible for completion of termination certificates and mailing of same.
Responsible for patient interviews and completion of DOH Birth Certificate Worksheet.
Responsible for data entry into Evers Birth Certificate Program.
Responsible for birth certificate corrections and filing.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent Required. A minimum of 1 years relevant experience required. Strong customer service, communication and organizational skills. Strong data entry skills. Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

The salary range for the role is $33,778.63 - $46,187.79 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
