Job Purpose: The Associate Director of Clinical Services supervises and directs nursing care and all related activities according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the Practice. This position participates in strategic planning, policy formation, and administrative decision making with particular reference to the role, functions, and operations of nursing and clinical services.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
•Collaborates with the Practice Director to devise and implement a strategic plan that focuses on:
•the quality of patient care rendered;
•an improved patient experience and the best possible clinical outcomes;
•maximizing productivity;
•highlighting opportunities for continuous improvement;
•identifying challenges/ risks that require corrective action.
•Leads and manages the Nursing Departments.
•Defines and maintains standards of practice. Initiates development of policies and procedures that govern clinical services. Regularly reviews and revises as needed.
•Develops and implements clinical protocols and workflows to ensure optimal patient care and efficiency.
•Streamlines supply ordering within the department; minimizes waste.
•Regularly reviews department staffing. Ensures each office is appropriately staffed to provide an optimal patient experience while maximizing employee productivity and budget. Appropriately forecasts the need for additional headcount based on growth projections.
•Assesses the quality of patient care rendered; makes recommendations and effects processes that consistently improve patient care.
•Ensures Practice is compliant with all Federal, State and Local regulations.
•Serves as organizational spokesperson for clinical matters and represent the Practice with vendors and related organizations.
•Ensure patient concerns and complaints are addressed promptly and effectively.
•Supervisor Responsibilities (if applicable):
•Manage clinical budgets, including staffing, equipment, and operational expenses.
•Recruit, onboard, and mentor staff, ensuring proper training and professional development.
•Develop and lead initiatives for staff retention, engagement, and satisfaction.
•Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
•Communicate the Company’s policies (health and safety, labor legislation, training, etc.) and ensure compliance.
Academic Training:
•Registered Nurse with active license - Required
•Bachelor’s Degree - Required
•Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration (or equivalent) - Preferred
Position Requirements/Experience:
•Minimum of 3 years’ experience in infertility medicine - preferred
•Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity
•Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulations related to outpatient medical practice
Technical Skills:
•Excellent computer skills required, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
•Must do 25 wpm on keyboard.
•Strong leadership and team management skills.
•Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
•Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technologies.
•In-depth knowledge of reproductive endocrinology, infertility treatments, and clinical best practices.
