Position Overview:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to provide exceptional care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. This role involves closely monitoring mother and baby, ensuring a safe and supportive birthing process, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to women in labor, delivery, and recovery stages
- Monitor fetal heart tones, contractions, vital signs, and maternal condition
- Assist with labor-inducing procedures and administer medications as needed
- Support mothers and families throughout the birthing experience
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers
- Document care provided and maintain accurate medical records
- Respond quickly to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition
- Educate patients and their families on postnatal care, breastfeeding, and recovery
Requirements:
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state.
- At least 2 years of experience as an RN
- At least 1 year of experience in L&D
- BLS certification
