Markandey Healthcare and Research Center. The candidate will provide comprehensive care for women’s reproductive health, manage pregnancies, and treat gynecological conditions, ensuring the highest standards of medical care and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct prenatal, perinatal, and postnatal care for expecting mothers.
- Clinical Care: Diagnose and manage a wide range of obstetric and gynecological conditions, including high-risk pregnancies.
- Perform gynecological examinations, Pap smears, and screenings for reproductive health.
- Provide counseling and treatment for infertility, menstrual irregularities, and hormonal disorders.
- Conduct surgeries such as cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and laparoscopic procedures as needed.
- Surgical and Procedural Duties: Perform minimally invasive surgeries, including laparoscopic and stereoscopes.
- Manage obstetric emergencies like ectopic pregnancies, pre-eclampsia, and fetal distress.
- Handle gynecological oncology cases in collaboration with specialists.
- Patient Education and Counseling: Educate patients on contraception, family planning, and reproductive health.
- Provide emotional support and counseling for patients dealing with miscarriage, infertility, or reproductive health challenges.
- Administrative and Teaching Roles (if applicable): Document patient history, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with medical standards.
- Mentor and train medical interns, junior doctors, and nursing staff.
- Participate in hospital management meetings, quality improvement programs, and policy formulation.
- Research and Development: Engage in research to advance practices in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Publish findings in medical journals and present at conferences.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology (MS or equivalent): A postgraduate degree from a recognized institution.
- Medical License: Must hold a valid medical license to practice in the region/country.
- Residency Training: Completion of a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology is often mandatory.
- Clinical Experience: Prior experience working in a hospital, clinic, or maternity ward, including managing obstetric emergencies, gynecological procedures, and prenatal care.
- Surgical Skills: Proficiency in performing common OB-GYN procedures such as cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and laparoscopic surgeries.
- Patient Management: Excellent skills in managing diverse patient populations, including high-risk pregnancies.
- Research and Academic Experience: Ability to contribute to medical research, publications, or teach in academic settings.
- Strong communication skills to counsel patients and families.
- Team collaboration with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals.
