The Department of Radiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) is seeking a seeking a superb candidate to lead our Breast Division as Section Chief for HMFP Breast Imaging.
We are seeking an outstanding individual to oversee and drive the clinical service, research and educational missions of the breast imaging program. This individual will be responsible for ensuring timely, high-quality, and efficient imaging services, managing to optimize resource and physician productivity, and serving as the radiology physician leader in the integrated Breast Oncology Program. Our team values close, collaborative relationships with referring services, and our contributions to breast care multidisciplinary conference are held in high regard by our clinical colleagues.
The breast imaging team comprises Harvard Medical faculty members, clinical and research fellows, rotating radiology residents, and advanced practitioners and patient navigators, and provides the spectrum of diagnostic and screening services.
The Department of Radiology will be part of the exciting new clinical collaboration between Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), BIDMC, and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) to establish New England’s only freestanding adult inpatient cancer hospital. The collaboration will bring together world-class clinicians to deliver transformational, precision medicine in an environment solely dedicated to defying cancer. This position will be the future primary liaison with the Breast Oncology multi-specialist team at DFCI, once the BIDMC-DFCI collaboration is complete.
Candidates for this position should have experience managing a clinical division or an equivalent level of operational experience, must be board-certified in diagnostic radiology, and must be eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Fellowship training in breast imaging is required. The candidate will be appointed to the faculty of Harvard Medical School at an academic rank commensurate with experience.
