The Operations Analyst drives operational efficiency and access to care by transforming data into actionable insights, leading ad-hoc improvement initiatives, and administering end-user access for key patient access applications. The role blends analytical rigor, project execution, and system stewardship to support strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance.
- Collect, clean, and integrate data from EHR, claims, scheduling, and finance systems.

Consult to refine dashboards and self-service reports in Power BI and Excel; track KPIs such as cycle time, denial rates, throughput, and patient-access metrics.

Perform trend, variance, and root-cause analyses to surface operational improvement opportunities and forecast resource needs.

Scope, plan, and deliver short-cycle operational projects (e.g., clinic flow redesign, telehealth capacity modeling, payer-mix analysis).

Develop business cases—including ROI, staffing, and process maps—and manage project timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations.

Facilitate cross-functional workgroups, drive consensus, and document results for leadership review.

Conduct periodic access reviews, resolve provisioning tickets, and partner with vendors/internal departments to remediate findings.

Train new users on system navigation and data-entry best practices to ensure data integrity.

Serve as primary liaison between Operations and IT for user-access governance across patient access and operational applications.

Present findings to executives and clinical leaders; translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.

Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required in healthcare, business analytics or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years progressive healthcare experience, with a focus on operational analytics. OBGYN experience a plus.
- Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably eClinicalWorks (eCW), and PowerBI.

Working knowledge of major healthcare operations platforms and their role-based security models (e.g. Medallia, Phreesia).

Knowledge of medical terminology, medical billing, and insurance reimbursement.

Knowledge and understanding of healthcare financial management and P&L.
