We have an exciting opportunity for an Andrologist at our Addison, TX location. If you have the following qualifications and have a desire to work in a fertility laboratory, this may be a great fit for you. The Andrologist performs all the laboratory procedures in Reproductive Chemistry and Andrology required for an in-vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle including hormone assay, preparation of semen samples for artificial insemination, cryopreservation of sperm, and complete sperm analysis assessed. This position will also assist as support role for embryology.
What you will do:
- Assist Lab Director day-to-day oversight of all andrology lab procedures and practices.
- Responsible for the daily running and administration of the andrology laboratory with minimal supervision and oversight.
- Maintain and monitor quality control measures & clinical data to ensure optimal laboratory performance and pregnancy outcomes.
- Develop and contribute to improving all laboratory procedures.
- Perform duties in accordance with laboratory policy including: the routine examination and analysis of semen samples before and during treatment cycles; preparation of semen specimens for treatment procedures; sperm cryopreservation procedures.
- Responsible for media preparation, paperwork preparation for IUI and chemistry reports, sperm preparation for IUI and for sperm survival tests, conducting semen analysis with morphology, and Tosoh operation.
- Perform comprehensive semen analysis, including sperm count, motility, progression, morphology, and viability (if indicated)
- Data collection and submission for compliance reviews, re-certifications, and submissions of data to specified organizations.
- Ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
- Additional duties as assigned
What is required:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in medical or biological sciences strongly preferred.
- Andrology Laboratory Scientist (ALS) certification preferred.
- Meet state specific certifications/licensure requirements (e.g., Certified Lab Scientist (CLS) etc.), if applicable.
- CLS, MT, TS is preferred
