The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Division
- AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, women’s services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

The ro le you’ll contribute:
Responsible for tracking and trending Health Information Management productivity and accuracy for corporate and division reporting. Collect and organize data to present insightful information to the leadership team that allows them to make informed decisions. Pull data regarding specific audit requests from a variety of different systems and present that data in pivot tables, bell curves, etc. Run daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the HIM team (i.e., DNFB, Operative Report, H&P, Discharge Summaries.). Responsible for creating presentations utilizing the trended data or as assigned by leadership. Provides project management on a variety of projects and other tasks as required by the HIM department. Responsible for maintaining current policies and procedures and scopes of work for the HIM departments. Design department specific reports that can be easily created and shared with the HIM team as needed. Work with the corporate team as needed to build dashboards or reports that may be shared via Power BI with the local team. Coordinates and maintains the record retention functions across the Tampa and Ocala market by ensuring department data is reviewed annually, updated, and destroyed as appropriate. Serves as the liaison between offsite records retention companies and each facility. Creates and maintains a HIM SharePoint site for the HIM team. Responsible for the creation of a monthly HIM newsletter.
The val ue you’ll bring to the team:
- Assists the HIM department with developing PowerPoint presentations for leadership meetings, revenue cycle meetings and a variety of other meetings as needed. Utilizing graphs, pivot tables, etc., information is presented in a meaningful and impactful manner. Heavy Power Point presentation skills are required in this role and effective use is critical.
- Creates and disseminates various reports related to HIM projects and presentations. Moderate to heavy Excel skills needed with a willingness to continue to learn Excel skills ongoing.
- Runs reports utilizing HPM, HealtheAnalytics, PowerInsight and any other hospital applications available. Become familiar with AdventHealth Office applications and may be asked to train team members to assist them with efficient workflow and or day to day communications.
- Responsible for running daily DNFC, weekly productivity, daily and monthly reports for H&P, Operative Reports, Discharge Summaries and other reports as requested.
- Drafts documents as requested. Provides project assistance on a variety of projects and other tasks as required by the department.
- Responsible for processing invoices for HIM, submitting expense reports and monitoring contract usage and expense.
- Coordinates the records retention functions across the region with our records retention vendors by reviewing current inventory and collaborating with each facility for annual review and destruction of data.
Qualifications

- High School Grad or Equiv Required.
- 5 Related Experience Required.
