Eligibility Requirements
- Canadian Citizenship (TN Visa is only available to Canadian citizens)
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in a Canadian province or territory
- NCLEX-RN Passed (or scheduled within the next 2-6 months)
- Willing to relocate to North Dakota or surrounding U.S. regions

- Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA of patients.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN.
Responsibilities:
- Directly reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.
- Responsible for providing efficient and safe patient care according to the standards of nursing practice, scope of practice, and Provider’s orders.
- Responsible for counseling with patient and family members regarding the patient’s conditions and needs.
- Assists with the orientation of new personnel.
- Responsible for timely nursing documentation including medications administered, medical treatments provided, and all information related to direct patient care.
- Responsible for following policy and procedures as well as adherence to EMTALA regulations.
Functions:
1. Performs assessment for all patients seeking treatment.
2. Performs initial and ongoing nursing assessments of all patients admitted to the Unit.
3. Responsible for notifying the Provider of the patient’s admission to the Unit, and their condition and or ongoing status, throughout the stay.
4. Responsible for following all established policies and procedures in the Unit.
5. Responsible for providing appropriate and timely hand-off to oncoming nursing personnel.
6. Receives verbal orders and enters into electronic health record; interprets and performs written orders of the Provider.
7. Ensures patient safety in all aspects of patient care.
8. Arranges for the patient services performed by other departments as ordered by the Provider.
9. Administers intravenous fluids or medications, including blood and blood products.
10. Accurately documents all medications with respect to dosages, routes, sites and times.
11. Ensures timely documentation in the electronic health record and completion of all documentation prior to the end of shift.
12. Accompanies and assists the Provider as needed or requested.
13. Uses the proper channels of communication and supports the policies and
procedures of the Hospital.
14. Participates in in-service and continuing education programs.
15. Follows up on all patient complaints and reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.
16. Other duties as assigned and within RN scope of practice.
