We are seeking a Surgical Technician who will be performing technical duties relative to assisting physicians with the instrumentation of surgical intervention. Included in your responsibilities: Monitoring PAR levels of all surgical instruments and supplies, cleaning and sterilizing all surgical instruments. They will also Participate in staff meetings and performance improvement activities, working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Essential Responsibilities:

Provide patient care, following facility policies and procedures.

Assess and respond to patient needs using appropriate clinical judgment and skills.

Demonstrate proficiency in surgical instruments, techniques, sterile procedures, instrument/needle counts, and terminal cleaning of surgical equipment and rooms.

Apply technical surgical skills and perform within defined job scope and patient care guidelines.

Maintain effective communication and positive interpersonal relationships with patients, coworkers, and healthcare team members.

Participate in continuing education to maintain and enhance professional competence.

Communicate effectively in English; additional languages are a plus.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; college preferred
- Operating Room experience required.
- Two (2) years of operating room experience preferred.
- Graduate of approved Operating Room Technical School preferred.
