Position Summary:
The Head of Embryology will lead the embryology-focused clinical interface between our cutting-edge preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) laboratory and our IVF clinic partners. This role is critical for ensuring excellence in biopsy handling, client onboarding, clinical support, and ongoing performance optimization. The ideal candidate is a senior embryologist with experience in laboratory management, strong communication skills, a passion for innovation and collaboration, and willingness to travel.
Location: Remove or on-site (Basking Ridge, NJ); frequent travel
Key Responsibilities:
Client Onboarding & Protocol Implementation
· Serve as the primary embryology liaison for new IVF clinic partners.
- Guide clinics through the onboarding process, including technical setup and protocol familiarization.
Account Management & Troubleshooting
- Provide ongoing support and consultation to ensure adherence to best practices in biopsy and sample handling.
- Deliver hands-on training and remote troubleshooting to embryologists.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements in biopsy techniques and workflow integration.
Performance Monitoring & Data Sharing
- Collect, analyze, and report clinical and laboratory KPIs for each partner site.
- Identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of protocol adherence, success rates, and feedback loops with clinics.
Education, Communication & Representation
- Present data trends and best practices at conferences, webinars, and internal meetings.
- Represent the organization at national and international events.
- Develop educational materials, protocols, and client communications.
Research & Development
- Participate in or lead research initiatives related to embryology and embryo diagnostics.
- Collaborate with scientific and medical teams to support innovation in PGT technologies and methods.
Qualifications (required):
- MSc or PhD in Clinical Embryology, Reproductive Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical embryology setting, with extensive hands-on PGT biopsy experience.
- Strong knowledge of IVF laboratory workflows and biopsy protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for on-site clinic training and support, meetings, and conferences (~20–30%).
