An Exciting Fellowship Opportunity Exists In Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery + Urogynaecology At St Vincent’s Public + Private Campus Sydney (recognised As a RANZCOG Accredited Full Time Position). The Two 12-months Positions Will Give Significant Surgical Exposure Including Management Of
- Severe endometriosis + pelvic pain
- Major prolapse, incontinence + reconstructive surgeries - Laparoscopic and vaginal surgical techniques
- Advanced laparoscopic + hysteroscopic surgery
- Sub-specialist urogynaecology assessment and surgery
- Management of infertility
- Acute Gynaecology
Inanimate laparoscopic training, teaching of medical students and JMO education as well as involvement in research and journal publications are key aspects to these fellow positions.

What You'll Be Doing
The Provisional Fellow in Advanced Endoscopic Surgery and Urogynaecology at St Vincent's Hospital involve substantial exposure to advanced laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, urogynaecological and pelvic surgery. The role also includes clinical research and publication and also includes a role in the inanimate laparoscopic training facility and endoscopic staff training programs. There will be a component of general and emergency gynaecological on call. The position also offers exposure to Da Vinci Robotic Surgery.
The
RANZCOG accredited Fellowship position and recognised as full time for your training purposes involves work across St Vincent's campus including St Vincent's Public Hospital, St Vincent's Private Hospital and St Vincent's Clinic. With a 1 in 2 on call fellow roster covering the emergency department and public hospital gynaecology. This role involves a 0.5FTE appointment at the Public Hospital and the remainder of the role is worked across St Vincent's Private Hospital and St Vincent's Clinic.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Successful completion of RANZCOG Oral and Written exams or equivalent. Must have completed the Integrated Training Program (ITP).
- Demonstrated progress towards career goals in obstetrics and gynaecology
- Demonstrated clinical competency in urogynaecology, endoscopic and pelvic surgery
- Excellent verbal and written skills; demonstrated interest in teaching and research
- Demonstrated involvement in patient safety and quality improvement activities
- Demonstrated capacity to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Mission and Values of the Mary Aikenhead Ministries
