Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate female Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations fro OB & GYN patients, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process. This role requires a strong foundation in medical imaging techniques, anatomy knowledge, and an understanding of medical terminology. The Ultrasonographer will work closely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.
Duties
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, and obstetric scans.
- Utilize appropriate sonographic techniques to obtain clear and accurate images for diagnostic purposes.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and ensure their comfort during examinations.
- Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to prevent infection.
- Collaborate with physicians to discuss findings and assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions.
- Document patient information accurately in medical records, including examination results and any relevant observations.
- Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices in diagnostic radiology.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Experience
- A degree or certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field is required.
- Previous experience in Ob/Gyn sonography or other areas of medical imaging is required.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential.
- Proven ability to provide excellent patient care while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Familiarity with diagnostic radiology practices is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
