Position: Medical Assistant

A rapidly growing OB/GYN practice in Plano seeks a Part time Medical Assistant to perform certain clinical duties under the direction of the physician that includes but are not limited to the following:
- Recording vital signs
- Assist in medical procedures, including instruments
- Prepare patients for medical examinations
- Record patients’ medical histories
- Enter specimens, anatomy, medications in the lab computer
- Administer injections
- Inventory sample closet monthly
- Sterilize and assess equipment, instruments and supplies
Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience working as a Medical Assistant
- Medical Assistant certification
- Experience working in an OB/GYN setting preferred
- Experience working with Athena Health or other type of EMR system
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Excellent communication skills with a concentration on patient-focused service
- Experience working with computers demonstrating basic skills
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology required

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
