RMA is seeking a Medical Assistant in our Urology group for our Wayne, PA location. The Medical Assistant's duties include, but are not limited to accurately recording medical history, phlebotomy, activating patient files, and for providing support to patients and medical staff.
This position is full time, Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:30 PM with weekend rotation.
Responsibilities:

Assist Providers: Assist during ultrasounds and office procedures

Phlebotomy: Specimen collection and processing, record keeping of all labs sent to outside laboratories, contact laboratories regarding specimens as necessary, post lab results to EMR as needed

Supply Ordering and stocking of Clinical Supplies: order clinical supplies as needed

Gather Health History: Confirm cycle specific information, confirm current medications and allergies, record in EMR

Sterilization: Sanitize ultrasound probes, disinfect exam rooms and phlebotomy lab, sterilize all instruments in autoclave

Assure quality care by adhering to therapeutic standards

Comfort patients by anticipating patient’s anxieties; answering patient’s questions

Maintain an excellent rapport and working relationship with multidisciplinary teams within the Practice

Adheres to Patient Confidentiality Policies and HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:

Certified Medical Assistant Program required
-
Minimum 1-3 years' experience in a medical office preferred

Women’s Healthcare background preferred
-
Excellent computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel

EMR experience preferred

Strong phlebotomy skills

Ability to communicate accurately and concisely

Must have strong organization and time management skills

Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings

Spanish preferred but not required
