Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to join our healthcare team of 7 family physicians across 2 sites. This role involves providing comprehensive care to women throughout their life stages, including prenatal, perinatal, and gynecological health. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality patient care and will possess strong clinical skills in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
There is a significant shortage of Obstetricians/ Gynecologist with many referrals being rejected due to long waiting periods.
A newly qualified or experienced specialist looking to start their practice or relocate their practice to a supportive large clinic of family physicians is welcomed.
Duties
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients to diagnose and treat various obstetric and gynecological conditions.
- Manage prenatal care, including monitoring fetal development and addressing any complications that may arise.
- Provide guidance on family planning, reproductive health, and preventive care.
- Administer medications and treatments as necessary while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Telus CHR for accurate documentation of patient information.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Engage in research initiatives to stay updated on the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Educate patients about their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with a focus on Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required
- Strong skills in patient care with a focus on acute care scenarios.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Telus CHR is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
