Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Receptionist who excels in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. In this sensitive and rewarding medical specialty, we need someone who ensures patients feel welcomed and cared for while maintaining impeccable attention to detail and efficiency in all tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly and promptly greet visitors, patients, and staff to create a welcoming environment.
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards in all patient communications.
- Accurately handle patient intake and maintain comprehensive records using medical software.
- Answer telephone calls professionally and courteously, ensuring timely and efficient responses.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to optimize efficiency and enhance patient flow.
- Stay informed about new programs, services, and promotions to provide accurate information to patients.
- Knowledgeably guide patients to the appropriate department or team within the organization.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of Kofinas Fertility Group’s services, locations, and departments to effectively direct patients to the appropriate team or resource.
- Collect and document patient referral sources and share information about events and promotions as needed.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for new and existing patients, ensuring all details are accurate and recorded in the system.
- Collaborate with the Billing department to collect insurance payments, co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses using the appropriate tools and software.
- Demonstrate proficiency in handling both in-network and out-of-network insurance inquiries.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and enhance patient care.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office setting.
- Associate’s degree or higher required.
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn and navigate various software systems (experience with Medical Manager and eIVF is a plus).
- Excellent telephone communication skills with the ability to multitask while maintaining high customer service standards (prior experience in a medical practice is preferred).
