DESCRIPTION:
The ideal candidate for this position would have previous experience in fertility or an OB/GYNE office environment. The Medical Administrative Assistant role is the first point of contact for those referred to our Physicians. This individual is responsible for the day-to-day organization of the team and communication with team members and patients. Sound judgment and independence while managing the day-to-day related administrative activities is expected. Sensitivity, empathy, excellent problem-solving, and attention to detail are a must.
Proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese is an asset.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Being a welcoming first point of contact for patients.
Accurately entering/confirming demographics and relevant patient info.
Obtaining and processing consents.
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments and follow-ups
Answer telephone and email messages; return messages promptly.
Provide patients with test instructions, and requisitions; and assist in coordinating.
Obtain patient test results from a variety of sources.
Accurate filing of patient information in electronic medical record.
Maintain efficient patient flow and scheduling.
Responsible for cleaning and restocking exam rooms.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Medical Office Administrator Diploma, 2-3 years of experience
Combined education and experience.
