Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic by managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records. This position is essential for providing excellent patient care and support in a fast-paced medical environment.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring efficient use of time slots.
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details.
- Manage incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Assist with the documentation of vital signs and other relevant medical information.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
- Familiarize yourself with medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Support coding processes for billing purposes as needed.
- Assist providers in rooming patients, taking vitals, and documenting patient/provider interaction.
- Ulitize eClinical Works to schedule patients and communicate with Insurance providers and Billing.
- Call back patients with test results and other vital information, as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of vital signs, basic life support, and medical terminology is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Previous experience with eClinical Works, or similar electronic medical records program.
