Novant Health Queen City OBGYN is Seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – OBGYN & Women’s Health, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to women throughout their health journey. From routine gynecological exams and prenatal care to family planning and menopause management, you will support patients with expertise and compassion.
Working closely with registered nurses, physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals, you will assist in clinical procedures, patient education, and care coordination. You will be part of a team that empowers women to take charge of their health in a caring, patient-centered environment.

Provide direct patient care in an OBGYN clinic setting, assisting with exams, screenings, and diagnostic tests.

Support patients through prenatal, postpartum, and reproductive health visits.

Assist in procedures such as Pap smears, colposcopies, IUD insertions/removals, and ultrasounds.

Educate patients on contraceptive options, fertility, prenatal care, and menopause management.

Ensure that patients feel heard, valued, and supported in their healthcare journey.

Assist in collecting and recording patient health histories, vital signs, and medical information.

Observe and recognize patterns in patient conditions, escalating concerns as needed.

Help identify urgent and emergent medical needs, ensuring timely intervention.

Work alongside registered nurses and physicians to develop and modify individualized care plans.

Provide patient education tailored to each individual’s needs, helping them understand diagnoses and treatments.

Identify and connect patients with specialized resources for women’s health, including lactation support, behavioral health, and maternal care programs.

Effectively communicate patient concerns, treatment plans, and care updates to the healthcare team.

Ensure timely, accurate documentation in medical records to maintain continuity of care.

Use SBARQ (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation, and Question) for structured communication in clinical settings.

Stay informed on the latest advancements in OBGYN and women’s health nursing.

Commit to ongoing learning and professional development, including tuition reimbursement opportunities.

Adhere to state nursing regulations, the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, and ANA Bill of Rights.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with healthcare providers, staff, and patients.

Perform all other duties as assigned to support patient care and clinic operations.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing Program, required.

Experience: One year of relevant experience, preferred.

Licensure/certification/registration: Appropriate state LPN license, required.
