Geriatric Home Care Aide for Paraplegic Client

Shift: Saturdays, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable LPN/RN to assist a high-functioning, cognitively aware paraplegic client with daily activities and medical needs. The ideal candidate will have experience providing care for individuals with mobility challenges and be skilled in managing G-tube care, medication administration, and assisting with daily activities of living.

Responsibilities:
- G-Tube Care: Assist with G-tube maintenance, flushing, and ensuring proper care and hygiene
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications as directed and monitor for side effects
- Personal Care Assistance: Help with daily activities such as dressing, bathing, grooming, and toileting
- Mobility Support: Assist with repositioning and transfers (using proper techniques to ensure safety and comfort)
- Transportation: Occasionally drive the client to and from appointments using their personal vehicle
- Companionship: Provide social interaction, engage in meaningful conversations, and assist with any cognitive activities the client enjoys
- Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in health or behavior, ensuring the client’s well-being throughout the shift
Qualifications:
- Current unencumbered LPN/RN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse in a supervised setting within the last three (3) years
- Successful completion of the skills assessment specific to the areas of experience including any specialty areas
- In compliance with state and Federal regulations
- CPR
- Valid AHCA/ level two background screening
- TB test showing a negative result
