We are seeking a highly organized and personable Front Office Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment while efficiently managing front-office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Reception:
Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival.
Verify patient information, insurance details, and collect necessary paperwork.
2. Appointment Management:
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments as needed.
Ensure timely follow-ups and coordinate provider calendars.
3. Insurance and Billing Support:
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments.
Collect co-pays, process payments, and assist patients with billing inquiries.
4. Records and Documentation:
Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
Ensure patient files comply with HIPAA and organizational standards.
5. Communication and Customer Service:
Answer phone calls, route messages, and handle patient inquiries.
Resolve minor patient complaints or escalate to the appropriate personnel.
6. Office Support:
Keep the reception area clean, organized, and inviting.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
Completion of a medical assistant certification program (Preferred).
Proficiency in EHR systems and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
