POSITION TITLE: Administrator of Women’s Health Department
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
STATUS: Full-time, Exempt, 35 hours per week
SALARY: $70,000.00

JOB SUMMARY:
CWHA’s Women’s Health Department encompasses a range of maternal health programs designed to support women through all stages of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. These programs include our free Doula Services, Maternal and Infant Health Support Program, prenatal and postnatal education workshops, and advocacy for reproductive health services. We are seeking an experienced and committed leader to serve as the Director of Women’s Health Department, overseeing the administration and coordination of all maternal health initiatives.
The Director will lead program development, manage day-to-day operations, and collaborate with community partners to expand services for underserved women and families across New York City.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Oversight & Administration
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all maternal health programs, including Doula Services, prenatal and postnatal care initiatives, and reproductive health education
Ensure seamless coordination of client intake, service delivery, and follow-up across all programs
Manage program databases, ensuring accurate client records, tracking outcomes, and generating reports
Experience in Supervision of all staff in a Maternal Health Department.
Supervise the matching of doulas to clients and the coordination of prenatal and postpartum services
Work closely with the Executive Director to align program goals with organizational strategy and funding opportunities
Client & Community Engagement
Conduct client intake and assessments to identify needs and connect clients with appropriate services
Serve as a liaison between CWHA and community organizations, healthcare providers, and other maternal health stakeholders
Foster relationships with community partners to enhance outreach efforts, increase referrals, and coordinate events
Organize and participate in community health fairs, educational workshops, and outreach events
Program Development & Advocacy
Lead the development of new maternal health programs and initiatives based on emerging community needs
Advocate for maternal health and women’s reproductive rights through partnerships with local organizations, policy makers, and healthcare systems
Stay informed on best practices and trends in maternal health, applying them to CWHA’s program model
Marketing & Communications
Oversee the creation of maternal health program marketing materials, including social media content, newsletters, and flyers
Collaborate on maintaining up-to-date website information and program resources
Engage in public speaking and representation of CWHA at community and professional events
Financial & Administrative Management
Manage financial operations related to the Women’s Health Department, including doula invoicing, budget tracking, and reporting
Support the development of grant proposals and ensure compliance with funding requirements
Collaborate with the finance team on audits, program budgets, and financial reporting
Additional Responsibilities
Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Executive Director or other leadership
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of three years of experience managing maternal health, public health, or nonprofit programs
MPH required.
Strong commitment to advancing maternal and infant health, with a focus on underserved communities
Experience working in or with immigrant and/or low-income communities is highly valued
Familiarity with maternal health services, including doula programs, prenatal/postnatal care, and reproductive health
Strong organizational and administrative skills, including experience managing program databases and reports
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM/database systems (Salesforce preferred)
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with community partners and advocate for women’s health
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in social media and community outreach
Fluency in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole is a plus
