The Department of Pediatrics' section of Newborn Critical Care within Medical Affairs, is seeking a one-year temporary full-time Program Administrator. Medical Affairs manages the areas of healthcare administration that are specific to physicians and other AHS practitioners. The Calgary Zone Medical Affairs team has over 3600 Medical staff to support the healthcare of 1.3 million Albertans. As the Administrative Support VI/Program Administrator, you are responsible for the operational administration of the Neonatal Perinatal Medicine Fellowship training program. The role requires strong administrative support skills, careful judgement and active knowledge of priorities and current issues to be successful. Superior communication and problem-solving skills are necessary to manage and resolve complex and confidential situations where the impact of error could be high. Current hybrid work arrangement is 4 days/week onsite, 1 day/week remote.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. diploma in business or office administration, specialized external certification).
Additional Required Qualifications:
5 years’ senior administrative experience in a teaching hospital/multidisciplinary medical or educational institution is required to understand the complex relationship between clinical operations and educational programming. Post-secondary Medical Office Assistant or graduate of a recognized business / secretarial administrative program. Minimum three years of administrative experience in a multidisciplinary health care administrative area. Intermediate/Advanced computer skills with demonstrated recent use and/or training in Microsoft Office and Outlook. Proficient typing skills with 60 WPM+ (test may be administered). Excellent communication skills – written and oral. Awareness of organizational policies and procedures. Creativity, innovation, enthusiasm and respect. Resiliency and flexibility; ability to work under pressure, strong work ethic. Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage and prioritize work effectively. Strong problem solving and conceptual skills. Ability to deal with difficult issues in a sensitive and confidential manner. Self-directed and able to work under minimal supervision. Ability to foster and promote teamwork, collaboration and partnership.
Preferred Qualifications:
Recent, relevant experience in One45, Peoplesoft, CaRMS, MEDsys and Sharepoint. Experience in residency/fellowship programs a strong asset.
