About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse/Midwife (Dual Registration) to join our healthcare team. This role is ideal for a passionate and experienced professional who is dedicated to providing exceptional maternity and nursing care.
As a dual-registered professional, you will work across multiple areas, including general nursing, antenatal and postnatal care, labor and delivery, and newborn care. This is a unique opportunity to work in Australia with visa sponsorship and a clear pathway to permanent residency.
Key Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN): A qualified healthcare professional licensed to provide nursing care.
- Midwife: A specialist in maternity care, pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal support.
- Dual Registration: Must be officially registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) or be eligible for it.
Work Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- At least 3 years of experience in Midwifery (including pregnancy care, labor assistance, and postnatal support).
- Midwifery experience must be from one of the following approved countries: UK, Ireland, New Zealand, GCC, Canada.
Mandatory AHPRA Registration
- Division 1 General Nursing (Required for working as an RN).
- Midwifery Registration (Required for working as a Midwife).
Required Experience in Specific Areas
- Birth Suite: Managing labor and deliveries.
- Antenatal & Postnatal Care: Providing support before and after childbirth.
- Up-to-Date Midwifery Skills: Knowledge of the latest medical practices in maternal care.
Mandatory Training & Certifications
- FSEP (Fetal Surveillance Education Program): Training to monitor babies’ health before birth.
- PROMPT (Practical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training): Emergency response training for childbirth complications.
- PPH (Postpartum Haemorrhage): Training to manage heavy bleeding after childbirth.
- Neo-Resus: Newborn resuscitation training.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general nursing care to patients.
- Assist with pregnancy care, labor, and delivery.
- Offer postnatal support to mothers and newborns.
- Monitor and assess the health of both mother and baby before, during, and after childbirth.
