Job Description:
The Head of Commercial and Operations will initially report to the CEO and may later report to another executive. This role is tasked with boosting sales and ensuring seamless operations, overseeing contracting, account management, and supply chain operations. As a crucial early hire in a small five-person team, this position offers significant growth opportunities and demands a candidate who can swiftly adapt to all business aspects.

Here’s what you’ll work on:
- 3PL Strategy Development: Craft and refine the playbook for 3PL facilities internationally, optimising our global distribution network.
- Inventory and Supplier Management: Manage inventory levels and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-efficiency and supply reliability.
- Operational Support for Sales: Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks to streamline sales processes and enhance team performance.
- Relationship Management with IVF Clinics: Develop and sustain relationships with IVF clinics globally, actively pursuing new contracts and expanding market presence.
- CRM Oversight: Administer our HubSpot system to maintain organisational efficiency and internal coordination.
- IVF Clinic Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with IVF clinics globally, securing new agreements and expanding market presence.
- Process Optimisation: Implement minimal yet effective processes that balance agility with the necessary structure for growth.
- Regulatory and Compliance Management: Manage all aspects of patent, trademark, and regulatory compliance, including the development of post-market strategies.
What Success Looks Like:
- New Business Wins: Secure multi-year agreements with leading IVF clinics, consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets. Negotiate contracts effectively and provide robust support to the sales team.
- Revenue Execution: Ensure timely delivery of contracted revenue, maintaining seamless integration and operations within partner clinics.
- Operational Efficiency: Guarantee timely delivery of kits and results, minimizing errors and optimizing logistics with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Metrics-Driven Performance: Achieve or surpass key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operations, ensuring that all processes are efficient and effective.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience: Minimum 7+ years in commercial or operations roles.
- Expertise Areas: Sales, operations, supply chain, procurement, logistics, manufacturing.
- Leadership: Experience leading teams and collaborating across multiple business units.
- Industry Relationships: Existing relationships in healthcare; experience with fertility clinics or physicians preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Strong financial analysis and model-building capabilities.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM tools.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment. Skilled in balancing multiple, concurrent projects with tight deadlines.
- Drive: Solution-oriented with a "whatever it takes" approach.
- Strategic Network: Ability to leverage networks for business development and partnerships.
- Regulatory Oversight: Responsible for managing patent timelines, navigating global regulatory processes, and ensuring compliance. Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
