As part of our Children’s Services, we deliver high-quality childcare, parenting and family support programs, immunisation, maternal and child health services, youth services and services for older people. We pride ourselves on ensuring every community member can access the support they need.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Kindergarten Teacher (Bachelor qualified) to join our team. Guided by the Educational Leader, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and care, ensuring programs reflect best practice and respond to each child’s unique strengths and needs.
Positions are currently based across two of our vibrant City of Melbourne managed centres:
- Lady Huntingfield Early Learning and Family Services Centre
- North Melbourne Children’s Centre
Flexibility is essential as shifts and work locations maychange depending on operational needs. Shifts are between 7:30am - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday

- Deliver engaging programs shaped by the Belonging, Being and Becoming: Early Years Learning Framework
- Design and implement learning experiences that reflect the individual interests and developmental stages of each child
- Create welcoming, inclusive and safe environments where children feel valued and supported
- Collaborate with educators and families to deliver best practice education and care
- Share responsibility for ensuring programs meet current best practice and align with National Quality Standards

What your experience might look like - Key Selection Criteria
- Approved tertiary qualification to degree or post-graduate level Early Childhood Education (4 year equivalent)
- Considerable experience working in an Early Childhood Services environment
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of the National Quality Framework, which includes the National Quality Standards, Early Years Learning Framework, Regulations and Kindergarten Funding Guidelines
- Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively with children, families and staff
- Demonstrate self-motivation and initiative in day to day work and problem solving
- Ability to liaise with, support and maintain a reciprocal relationship with the educational leader and management team
- Provide leadership in programming across the whole centre
