Elmhurst Hospital Center (EHC) is the major tertiary care provider in the borough of Queens. The hospital is comprised of 545 beds and is a Level I Trauma Center, an Emergency Heart Care Station and a 911 Receiving Hospital. Job Description

Under general supervision of Midwifery Services and direction of the OB/GYN Division, with some latitude for the exercise of independent judgment, provides antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, neonatal, interconceptional and gynecological care, in accordance with written midwifery protocols which have been approved by the institution’s Medical Board.

Minimum Qualifications

Licensure as a Midwife by the New York State Department of Education; and,
Two years of clinical experience in midwifery practice.
