What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a highly driven Program Manager with a strong background in public health and the development sector. This role demands hands-on experience managing projects focused on women’s health, gender equity, and community empowerment. The ideal candidate has led initiatives in public health or development sectors and is passionate about driving social impact through research, advocacy, and storytelling. You will lead content development, research, and production, while managing programs that focus on women's fertility, reproductive health, mental wellness, and socio-economic empowerment. Responsibilities:
Program Management & Public Health Initiatives:
• Lead the end-to-end management of public health and development sector projects with a focus on women’s reproductive health, fertility, mental wellness, and empowerment.
• Design and implement evidence-based programs that drive measurable impact in target communities.
• Collaborate with public health experts, NGOs, and stakeholders to ensure relevance and credibility.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and KPIs, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
• Develop frameworks for monitoring and evaluating program outcomes and social impact.
Content Development & Research:
• Research and create evidence-based content on women’s health, fertility, mental wellness, financial literacy, and career development.
• Design structured curricula and learning modules aligned with Hera’s mission and user needs.
• Translate complex public health topics into engaging, accessible materials for diverse audiences.
• Regularly updated content based on the latest research and sector best practices. Content Creation & Production: • Lead content production across multiple formats: o Video scripts, webinar content, and on-camera hosting o Vox pop planning and direction to capture real community insights o Checklists, guides, whitepapers, blog posts, infographics, and user assessments
• Direct and oversee face-to-camera shoots and vox pops, ensuring authentic and impactful storytelling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring public health content to life.
User Experience & Analysis:
• Conduct user persona research to understand community needs and preferences.
• Analyze user behavior and engagement data to optimize program effectiveness.
• Incorporate user feedback and sector insights to refine content and program strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy:
• Build partnerships with public health organizations, development agencies, and community leaders.
• Represent Hera in sector forums, workshops, and conferences to amplify our mission.
• Advocate for women’s health and empowerment through storytelling and data-driven narratives.
Qualifications:
• Education: o Bachelor’s degree in public health, Social Work, Mass Communication, or related fields. o Preferred: Master’s degree from institutes like IIPH Hyderabad, ISB Healthcare Management, TISS Hyderabad.
• Experience: o 8-10 years managing public health or development sector projects, particularly in areas like women’s health, gender equity, or community empowerment. o Proven experience leading content creation, production, and program execution in social impact spaces. o Hands-on experience working on specific development projects within public health, social justice, or community outreach. o Background in vox pop direction, on-camera hosting, and community engagement is a plus.
• Skills & Competencies:
o Strong understanding of public health frameworks, gender equity, and social development practices. o Exceptional research, writing, and content creation skills, with an emphasis on simplifying complex topics. o Proficiency in production, scriptwriting, and visual storytelling.
o Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives. o Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
o Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment with a focus on ownership and accountability.
