Clinical Nurse – Drug & Alcohol
We are currently advertising for Clinical Nurse roles at Next Step’s integrated services in Midland Warwick/Innaloo and East Perth for Fixed Term 6 month contract.
About The Role
The role of the Clinical Nurse AOD is to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of those identified as having mental health, drug and alcohol related problems, to assess and manage clinical risk and to participate in the development of the Alcohol and Other Drugs Services. You will manage Clinic based alcohol and other drugs assessment, consultation liaison for withdrawal management, delivery of opioid treatment program, therapeutic interventions and harm minimisation programs.
The successful candidate may be required to work at other Integrated Clinical Service sites based on operational needs.

About You
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join this highly specialised service that embraces a multidisciplinary approach to its care.
You Will Be
- Passionate about working in drug and alcohol treatment services- candidates with experience in AOD, Mental Health or clinical nurse community settings, and a desire to work with AOD specialty, will be considered.
- Able to understand and act within key boundaries and maintain a professional relationship with clients
- Flexible, adaptable and capable of learning within challenging environments
- Experienced in working with clients with challenging and complex presentations
- Enthusiastic about working in a multidisciplinary environment
