About The Area
The School of Human Sciences advances research and teaching in human biology, performance, and evolution. This role is within the Preclinical Intensive Care Research Unit (PICRU), focusing on perinatal research to improve neonatal and maternal health.
About The Opportunity
- Assist in the conduct and publication of research within the Preclinical Intensive Care Research Unit (PICRU).
- Support laboratory operations, including preparation for and assistance with ovine surgery, sample collection, physiological data analysis, and laboratory analyses.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary research team to ensure the smooth operation of research projects.
About You
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Substantial experience in laboratory research, particularly in physiology or biomedical sciences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a research team.
Special Requirements
- Occasional weekend and after-hours work may be required, depending on experimental needs.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.
