Who we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Business development manager to drive Hormona’s expansion into the employee benefits and insurance sectors. You have a deep understanding of the corporate wellness landscape, health insurance offerings, and the unique needs of employers looking to improve employee health and well-being.
You thrive in consultative selling, forging partnerships, and demonstrating value to HR leaders, benefits providers, and insurers. You’re passionate about creating meaningful health solutions for organizations and their employees but most importantly you love to close a deal.
Role Overview
As the Business development manager your primary focus will be to position Hormona as a leading solution in employee wellness programs and health insurance offerings. You will identify, engage, and close opportunities with employers, insurance providers, and benefits platforms to integrate Hormona into their health and wellness packages.
This role will require you to craft tailored B2B solutions for clients, emphasizing the value Hormona can bring in enhancing employee health, reducing absenteeism, and driving organizational wellness outcomes. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership to shape our B2B growth strategy and deliver measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Identify and engage potential clients, including employers, insurance companies, researchers, benefits brokers, and wellness platforms.
- Employee Benefits Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to integrate Hormona into employee benefits and health insurance programs.
- Consultative Sales Approach: Conduct needs assessments with HR leaders, benefits managers, and insurers to showcase how Hormona can enhance employee wellness and reduce healthcare costs.
- Partnership Development: Build strategic relationships with benefits brokers, third-party administrators (TPAs), and insurance carriers to scale Hormona’s reach in the employee benefits space.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent progress toward revenue and partnership goals.
- Custom Solutions and Presentations: Create tailored proposals, presentations, and pitches to meet the unique needs of clients.
- Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with product, marketing, and customer success teams to refine offerings and ensure seamless implementation for clients.
- Market Insights: Stay updated on trends in employee wellness, benefits technology, and health insurance to identify emerging opportunities.
- Performance Metrics: Set and track sales KPIs, reporting on progress to leadership and refining strategies to achieve targets.
- Representation and Advocacy: Represent Hormona at industry events, benefits conferences, and insurance summits to raise awareness and generate leads.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (3+ years) in B2B sales or business development, ideally focusing on employee benefits, health insurance, or corporate wellness solutions.
- Demonstrated success in building partnerships with employers, insurers, or benefits platforms, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the employee benefits landscape, including wellness programs, insurance offerings, and HR decision-making processes.
- Exceptional consultative selling and relationship-building skills, with the ability to tailor solutions to diverse client needs.
- Familiarity with sales and CRM tools to manage pipelines and track performance.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
- Passionate about improving employee health and wellness outcomes through innovative solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with health insurance providers, benefits brokers, or wellness platforms.
- Knowledge of subscription-based or SaaS business models.
- Prior experience in scaling wellness or health-related offerings in the corporate space.
- MBA or advanced degree in business, health management, or a related field.
