Elmhurst Hospital Center (EHC) is the major tertiary care provider in the borough of Queens. The hospital is comprised of 545 beds and is a Level I Trauma Center, an Emergency Heart Care Station and a 911 Receiving Hospital. It is the premiere health care organization for key areas such as Surgery, Cardiology, Women's Health, Pediatrics, Rehabilitation Medicine, Renal and Mental Health Services.

Job Description

Under the supervision of an assigned attending Physician, performs diagnostic and therapeutic tasks and renders varied medical services to provide comprehensive patient care in HHC hospitals, NFFC’s and long-term care facilities. Provides clinical instruction to health professionals and nursing students rotating on the service, may be involved in research activities performed by the service, and works closely with other Physician Assistants on the service.

Minimum Qualifications

Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant; and,
Current certification issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); and,
Two years of full time, satisfactory clinical experiences as a Physician Assistant.
