Description and Requirements
To deliver a strong claims governance framework and enhance claims technical capability within MetLife Claims Team as well as supporting claims insights and reporting aligning to MetLife’s strategy.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Primarily undertake claims audits/quality assurance across Retail, Group and Corporate
- Provide coaching and claims technical support to case managers including their Claim Accreditation to attain delegated authority
- Review complex claims and/or complaints as the business requires to recommend and implement outcomes aligned to regulatory standards and MetLife’s Claims Philosophy.
- Capability to undertake data reporting and analysis specific to claims
- Adhere to all claim risk management frameworks and requirements e.g. LICOP, Privacy Policies and Financial Services Laws
- Keep updated with product and regulatory changes and lead changes to claims procedures and guidelines so they remain relevant
- Proven ability to lead end to end risk management relevant to claims eg identification, remediation and reporting
- Recognise and prioritise responsibilities in accordance with business needs and ability to work in an agile environment
- Work collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders to drive claims governance best practice
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:
- Work with minimal supervision
- Data reporting capability specifically excel
- Knowledge of business strategy and claims philosophies, products and regulatory changes
- Be a committed team player who openly communicates and shares knowledge and work
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise work at all times
- Can work under pressure in an evolving environment
- Ability to adapt to and embrace change
- Strong stakeholder management experience with product, legal, risk
- Excellent computing skills and literacy; including excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; example proven ability writing procedures, Board/ risk papers
- Ability to adapt to change

Qualifications/Experience Required:
- Recent minimum 2 years’ experience in a Life Insurance complaint, claims risk, product or Quality Assurance role
- In depth experience across all Life Insurance distribution channels and product lines: Group, Retail and Corporate
- Strong understanding and experience implementing Governance Frameworks
- Understanding key claims data metrics with the ability to analyse, report and drive claim risk insights
- Skills and experience working on projects and using agile ways of working
