An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner post within our multi-disciplinary team. The focus of the post will be to provide high-quality clinical care, lead on service improvement initiatives and provide line management of the Clinical Nurse Specialists. The successful candidate will work closely with the Matron and SRH management team to provide professional leadership within the clinical area.
You will require extensive clinical and managerial experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health. You will have to possess advanced clinical practice skills and have experience training nurses in contraception and genito-urinary competencies. We are looking for a proactive and strategic senior nurse with a vision for service transformation, to lead and develop the nursing group. We would like a candidate that can be a voice for clinical excellence and nursing expertise.
Provide care to patients involving; assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment to an advanced level. This must include engagement, consultation and negotiation with patients at the centre.
Provide a level of practice characterised by a high degree of autonomy and complex decision making.
To contribute to the Trust’s, Directorates and Teams Clinical Governance and Quality assurance programmes, setting and monitoring practice standards, jointly developing guidelines, protocols and innovative solutions with the service and in liaison with interdisciplinary colleagues.
To lead and manage staff within the service, providing effective guidance, supervision, mentorship and performance management at an advanced level.
To work in close partnership with the appropriate Clinical Leads and Service Managers to ensure relevant national initiatives and targets in relation to speciality are met.
To evaluate own practice and participate in multi-professional team and service evaluation, demonstrating the impact of advanced practice on service function, effectiveness and quality, i.e. outcomes, experience and safety.
Be responsible for the nursing leadership of the Sexual & Reproductive Health Service, ensuring they are delivering within their scope of responsibility and that nursing performance and quality of service delivery does not fall below expected levels and standards
