RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our dynamic team working on novel treatments for allergy, asthma and chronic urticaria
The incumbent must be familiar with the entire clinical trial process and be able to assume all the associated nursing tasks. The candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and senior Study Nurse.
General Duties
- Coordinate study visits with study coordinator as per study protocol, coordinate with clinic staff to ensure proper documentation and timing of research-related procedures,
- Perform blood collection and clinical follow-up of research participants according to the study protocol,
- Timely complete all study documentation forms, including case report forms (CRFs), adverse events reports, other study specific documents,
- Review subject’s information and laboratory reports in preparation for the investigator’s review,
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by supervisor, including support to other coordinator and research nurses,
- Work directly with the Principal Investigator, the research team and collaborating laboratories/co-investigators at the study site to ensure the smooth running of all the clinical aspects of studies,
- Under the supervision of the Project Manager, coordinate study activities at the study site to ensure project timelines and patient enrollment goals are achieved.

Education: Diploma of College Studies (DEC)
Field of Study: Nursing
Other education considered an asset for this position: Bachelor’s in Nursing
Work Experience: 1 year or more in clinical research

Required Skills
- Bilingual in French and English spoken and written to communicate with patients and staff,
- Solid written and verbal communication skills,
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Web application,
- High level of initiative and organization,
- Ability to prioritize and to multitask,
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations,
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team,
- Strong critical and clinical thinking.
Additional information
Status: Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale
DEC: $43,316.00 to $80,425.80
BAC: $54,327.00 to $100,882.60
Commensurate with education and work experience.
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
Work Site: GLEN Site, 1001 boul. Decarie
