Fixed term Band 6 rotational midwife within Fetal Medicine Unit until 31.03.2026
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the fetal medicine team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic midwife with excellent standard of care. You will contribute to a safe, efficient and quality driven fetal medicine service at both Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea and St Mary's Hospitals. This position will require rotation on both sites.
Previous experience in fetal medicine is desirable. You will also be expected to cover for the multiples team who offer continuity of carer to this complex group of patients.

Main duties of the job
- To work as part of the multidisciplinary Fetal Medicine team who cares for patients undergoing Fetal Medicine examinations, procedures and therapies
- To provide specialist information, support and counselling for patients considering prenatal diagnostic tests when a fetal abnormality is suspected or diagnosed
- To provide specialist information, support and counselling for patients with a fetal abnormality or abnormal results from prenatal diagnosis
- To work, support and participate in clinical procedure with others during termination of pregnancy for those parents wishing to interrupt the pregnancy
- To provide support for both parents who interrupt the pregnancy and those who continue with the pregnancy
- To be the named midwife for parents who are expecting twins or more to provide continuity of care including antenatal and intrapartum care.
