About the Opportunity
We are seeking an MBBS-qualified RMO with practical exposure to gynaecology to join an on-site clinical team in Ghaziabad. This role focuses on delivering high-quality inpatient and outpatient obstetric/gynaec care, labour ward support, emergency response and close coordination with senior consultants. Ideal candidates are confident managing deliveries, assisting in LSCS, and stabilising obstetric emergencies while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide direct inpatient and OPD care for obstetric and gynaecology patients—history taking, clinical examination, treatment plans and prescriptions.
- Manage labour ward duties: monitor labour, conduct normal vaginal deliveries and assist in cesarean sections as directed by consultants.
- Respond to emergency obstetric and gynaecological cases—stabilise patients, initiate resuscitation, and arrange escalation or transfer.
- Perform basic obstetric ultrasound assessments and fetal monitoring where required; escalate findings to senior clinicians.
- Maintain accurate medical records, prepare case summaries, complete handovers and follow hospital protocols for infection control and patient safety.
- Coordinate with nursing teams, anaesthetists and consultants to ensure timely surgical lists, referrals and post-operative care.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS degree with valid medical registration (State Medical Council/NMC)
- Clinical exposure to Obstetrics & Gynaecology during internship/rotations
- Hands-on experience in normal deliveries and assisting in cesarean sections (LSCS)
- Ability to manage labour ward and emergency obstetric cases on-site
- Basic obstetric ultrasound skills or ability to perform transabdominal scans for assessment
- Strong clinical documentation, handover practices and adherence to hospital protocols
Preferred
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Previous experience as a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) or in hospital inpatient care
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and hospital workflow systems
