What you'll be doing
Practicing and promoting safe, efficient and effective midwifery care that reflects current standards of midwifery practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures
Key accountabilities

Provision of safe and efficient midwifery care to maximise effective customer outcomes.

Assisting, supporting and guiding the education, clinical placement and development of Student Midwives, New Graduate Midwives and fellow Registered Midwives.

Fostering an atmosphere conducive to open communication, problem solving and team building.

Promoting evidence based practice and continuous quality improvement within the ward/unit.

Participating in health care planning, practice and evaluation

Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with patients, carers and other health care team members/colleagues regarding Midwifery care.

Practice in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's professional standards, NSW Health Code of Conduct and CORE values.
Actively promotes and participates in patient safety and ongoing quality improvement programs. Engages in practices that promote the best possible health outcomes for patients/clients, and supports a culture of patient safety, clinical quality and innovation.

About you
You hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, bringing solid nursing skills and knowledge relevant to outpatient and/or acute hospital settings. Your clinical expertise is demonstrated through effective problem-solving abilities, ensuring the best possible patient care outcomes.
