Supervising Clinician (Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or PA)
Overview
RenewRx is a women’s health company building a “digital health GPS” for diabetes in pregnancy and related metabolic care. We partner with OB and primary-care teams to deliver tech-enabled behavioral support via Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) and virtual coaching.
We are seeking a Supervising Clinician (MD/DO, NP, or PA) with extensive experience in diabetes in pregnancy, including strong foundations in lifestyle, nutrition, and medication management specific to pregnancy. This role provides clinical oversight, conducts virtual establish-care visits, and ensures the highest standards of safety, compliance, and evidence-based care.
Scope of Work
Oversight & Supervision
- Supervise Care Coaches and RNs engaged in RPM programs for gestational diabetes, pregestational diabetes, and other pregnancy-related metabolic conditions.
- Approve RPM workflows, clinical protocols, escalation pathways, and documentation templates.
- Define and maintain pregnancy-specific clinical thresholds for glucose trends, medication titration triggers, and safety alerts.
- Provide standing orders when permitted and support advanced lifestyle and nutrition-based interventions appropriate for pregnancy.
- Maintain virtual availability for clinician consultation within agreed timeframes (e.g., ≤24 hours for non-urgent items).
- Participate in quarterly quality, safety, and compliance reviews.
Patient Care (Virtual)
- Conduct virtual establish-care E/M visits for patients entering RenewRx RPM programs, with a focus on assessment and management of diabetes in pregnancy.
- Review CGM and glucose data, lifestyle logs, and behavioral metrics; provide recommendations in alignment with pregnancy standards of care and state scope of practice.
- Guide safe, evidence-based medication management during pregnancy (e.g., insulin, metformin) within protocol.
- Collaborate with the patient’s OB, PCP, endocrinologist, and care team; this role does not involve obstetric management or procedures.
Compliance & Documentation
- Review and sign RPM/PCM documentation in accordance with payer, state, and federal requirements.
- Uphold HIPAA, CPOM, and payer supervision standards; complete required compliance and risk-management trainings.
- Ensure documentation reflects pregnancy-specific considerations in diabetes management.
Time & Modality
- Approx. 4–6 hrs/month for oversight, protocol review, and compliance.
- Approx. 2–4 hrs/month for visits and case review.
- Fully virtual (Zoom, EMR, secure messaging).
Reporting
- Reports to the RenewRx Medical Oversight Committee.
- Collaborates closely with Care Coaches, Nutrition Team, and Operations.
Future Expansion
- Potential to oversee emerging clinical programs including postpartum metabolic recovery, PCOS/weight management, and menopause cardiometabolic care.
- Opportunity to inform protocol development, research initiatives, and data-driven continuous improvement.
Compensation
- Per-visit revenue share for establish-care E/M.
- Monthly stipend for supervision and oversight.
- Flexible, contractor or part-time arrangement.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Colorado license (multi-state preferred).
- Extensive clinical experience in diabetes in pregnancy, including:
- Nutrition, lifestyle, and behavioral counseling in pregnancy
- Pregnancy-specific glucose and CGM management
- Insulin and pregnancy-safe medication management
- Training in women’s health, endocrinology, maternal-fetal medicine collaboration, or high-risk pregnancy programs preferred.
- Experience in telehealth, RPM, chronic care management, or digital health.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation discipline.
