Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Imaging Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services, particularly in the fields of maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology. This position requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and patient care, ensuring that patients receive accurate diagnoses and compassionate support throughout their imaging procedures. This is a night contract position, mandatory on call requirement.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including sonography and other medical imaging techniques, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide essential information for patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain aseptic technique during procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Educate patients about the imaging process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have to ensure a positive experience.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in medical imaging technology and best practices in patient care.
- Document all imaging procedures accurately in accordance with medical terminology standards and facility protocols.
- Assist in maintaining equipment and ensuring that all imaging devices are functioning properly.
Experience
- Proven experience in maternal-fetal medicine or obstetrics/gynecology is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic radiology and sonography.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care while effectively communicating with patients and healthcare team members.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and safety protocols in a clinical setting is essential.
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment involving medical imaging is preferred, showcasing an understanding of the technical aspects of the role.
