Role
Resident Medical Officer (RMO) – Obstetrics & Gynaecology focus (On-site, Bhilwara, Rajasthan).
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessment and continuous management of antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal patients in the labour room and wards.
- Conduct and manage normal vaginal deliveries and assisted deliveries; perform episiotomy repair and primary suturing as required.
- Assist obstetricians during caesarean sections and support peri-operative care for surgical patients.
- Recognise and manage obstetric emergencies (PPH, eclampsia, obstructed labour); initiate stabilization and escalate per protocol.
- Document clinical findings, treatment plans and outcomes accurately in patient records and maintain handover logs for night/day shifts.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, anaesthesia, lab and paediatric teams to ensure coordinated, timely maternal and neonatal care; participate in audits and protocol adherence activities.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS, BAMS or BHMS with valid registration to practice in India.
- Minimum 2–4 years clinical experience with hands-on exposure to labour room and obstetric care.
- Strong practical experience in conducting deliveries and managing common gynaecological procedures in a busy clinical setting.
- Certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred at joining.
- Familiarity with emergency obstetric protocols, infection control and documentation standards.
- Willingness to work on-site in Bhilwara with shift flexibility (including night duties).
Preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Prior experience in district or secondary care hospitals serving similar patient volumes.
- Basic training in obstetric ultrasound or family planning procedures (IUCD insertion).
