Position Type: Full-Time/Temporary (6-month contract)
Join our dedicated team as an Administrative Assistant, providing high-level support to one or more of our physicians. You’ll play a key role in managing schedules, coordinating clinic activities, and contributing to an exceptional patient and staff experience.
This is a non-patient-facing role within a collaborative care team environment, requiring flexibility, cross-coverage, and a passion for healthcare excellence.
 Schedule Coordination
Maintain physician clinic schedules, OR bookings, IVF dates, and appointments
 
Prepare weekly physician calendars
 
Enter and update appointments in EMR
 
Understand patient flow and appointment types
 
 Clinic Preparation
Prepare medical records for consultations
 
Retrieve required documentation and testing
 
Ensure completion of patient intake forms
 
 Billing & Documentation
Manage Alberta Health Care and private billing in eIVF
 
Process non-insured and missed appointment charges
 
Draft patient and consult letters
 
 General Admin Duties
Answer and direct calls as needed
 
Perform ad hoc administrative tasks as assigned
 
Support other departments when required
 
 
High school diploma (required)
 
MOA certificate or post-secondary in admin (preferred)
 
- LPN certificate/ experience (is an asset)
 
- 
2+ years in administrative support (medical setting preferred)
 
Experience supporting a physician or healthcare professional
 
Familiarity with Connect Care and Alberta Netcare (preferred)
 
 
Excellent time management and attention to detail
 
Strong written and verbal communication skills
 
EMR proficiency and computer literacy
 
Ability to work independently and in team settings
 
Professional, adaptable, and empathetic demeanour
 
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
