Position Summary
Coordinate efforts with the pharmacist to ensure that all medication histories are collected and reviewed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Communicate effectively with all patient populations to gather accurate medication histories.
Communicate effectively with pharmacists, nurses, family members and others outside the hospital to gather further medication
history information.
Demonstrate professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills in all communications with patients, team members and other
health care providers.
Accurately document patients’ medication histories in the medical chart.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Other Related Functions
Attends department meetings, facility in-services, and special corporate events and/or meetings.
Assumes the responsibility for professional growth and development.
Qualifications
Education/Training
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Licensure/Certification
Must be currently registered with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy, renewed every two years
Experience
Two (2) years of experience as a licensed pharmacy technician.
