The Wellnest Family Clinic is a multidisciplinary maternal & pediatric wellness centre dedicated to caring for moms, babies, children, and families. Our collaborative team includes chiropractors, naturopaths, physiotherapists, massage therapists, lactation consultants, and counselors—all working together to provide compassionate, family-centered care.
We are looking for a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting new and expecting families through all stages of feeding and postpartum care. This position is ideal for someone who values collaboration, patient education, and holistic, integrative support.

Who You Are
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) — RN, RPN, or other healthcare background an asset
- Experienced or interested in working with prenatal, postpartum, and pediatric populations
- Knowledgeable in common feeding challenges (e.g., latch issues, tongue ties, low milk supply, overproduction, mastitis, pumping support, bottle feeding)
- Compassionate, patient-centered, and supportive in your communication
- Passionate about holistic family care and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Core Skills & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive lactation consultations (initial and follow-up visits)
- Assess and support latch, positioning, and feeding techniques
- Provide education on pumping, bottle feeding, and milk storage
- Support parents experiencing low milk supply, nipple pain, blocked ducts, or mastitis
- Offer evidence-based guidance on infant feeding and weaning
- Collaborate with other practitioners (e.g., chiropractors, pediatricians, speech pathologists) for tongue-tie and feeding-related care
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Educate families on infant development, maternal recovery, and family well-being
Assets (Not Required)
- Background as a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), Midwife, or Doula
- Experience with tongue-tie assessment and post-release care
- Knowledge of bodywork approaches that complement feeding care
- Interest in group classes or workshops for parents
