Opportunity – Midwife | South Okanagan Maternity Centre, Penticton BC
Looking for meaningful work in a stunning location with a team that truly supports one another?
The South Okanagan Maternity Centre (SOMC), located inside Penticton Regional Hospital, is seeking a permanent, full-time midwife interested in collaborative, interdisciplinary maternity care.
This is a rare opening — SOMC hasn’t recruited a full-time midwife in years, and the model offers an attractive balance of autonomy, teamwork, and lifestyle.
Join a warm, collegial group of family doctors and midwives who provide full-spectrum maternity care — from prenatal visits to hospital deliveries and postpartum support. SOMC is known for its seamless collaboration and deep commitment to quality care for mothers and babies across the South Okanagan Similkameen.
Supported by the South Okanagan Similkameen Division of Family Practice, the South Okanagan Similkameen Health Care Society, and Interior Health, this position allows you to focus on patient care while administrative and operational supports — including dedicated MOA and facility support — are taken care of.
Located in Penticton, BC, this opportunity offers more than great medicine — it’s a lifestyle. Nestled between two lakes and surrounded by vineyards and mountains, Penticton is a year-round playground with hiking, biking, skiing, and paddling all within minutes of work.
