Remedy International Medical are working with an established private practice in Bermuda who are looking to add an experienced Full Time Sonographer who specializes in OB-GYN and Maternal Fetal Monitoring to join their busy practice. You must be proficient in the use of ultrasound equipment and be able to perform ultrasounds for diagnostic evaluation of OB-GYN patients. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining essential patient care and safety and reviewing ultrasound findings with physicians.

Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound diagnostic procedures, as requested by the physician within the designated time frame and in accordance with the established quality standards and needs of the office.
- Review intake and patient history for information pertinent to sonographic examination, supervise the scheduling and preparation of patients, and record significant data.
- Document and generate ultrasound report for physicians and radiologists.
- Review ultrasound findings with physicians.
- Demonstrate proper use of computer by entering all pertinent information into the electronic medical records system upon completion of procedure and adhering to confidentiality policy.
- Conduct daily calibration checks in the adjustment and maintenance of ultrasound and peripheral equipment and record results. Stay up to date with BHEC Regulatory Requirements.
- Confer with the practice manager and physician to report problems relative to equipment.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and office specific safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the work area.
- Be a Solutions-Oriented Team Player; as needed, assist with additional duties in the office, such as answering phones, booking patient appointments.
Education:
- Associate or Bachelors’ degree in Science, from an accredited university.
- Registered and in good standing with the Allied Health Professionals Council and the ARDMS with sub specialties in AB, OB-GYN and vascular.
- CPR or Basic Life Support.
- Minimum 5-year ultrasound experience in an OB-GYN Tertiary care setting
Skills:
- Ultrasound experience in an OB-GYN setting.
- Proficient in Computer skills.
- You must be proficient in the use Ultrasound equipment and must be independent in scanning the following:
- Abdominal Ultrasound (general)
- Pelvic/Transvaginal Ultrasound
- OB Ultrasound (1st, 2nd, 3rd trimester)
- Small parts (breast, thyroid, kidney) soft tissue
- Color Doppler imaging (abdominal, pelvic, peripheral vascular)
- Venous Color Doppler for DVT
