We are seeking a part-time OR/PACU RN to join our Jacksonville, FL team. The schedule is Monday-Friday 7:00am-1:00pm, with rotating 2 weekend days per month and rotating holidays.
How You'll Contribute:
We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the OR/PACU RN is responsible for:
- Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
- Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
- Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
- Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
- Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
- Provide patient education
What You'll Bring:
- Active RN license
- 1 year minimum Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Proficiency with IV's required
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
