The Revenue Performance Manager is a professional person with analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills that empower proactivity in identifying and addressing opportunities for improvement in Revenue Cycle Management performance across Axia’s care centers. Success is measured by how effective we are in helping our care centers implement RCM Best Practices that result in achieving RCM performance targets. This position is a liaison between RCM resources in coding, billing, accounts receivable management, and cash posting as well as care center physicians, managers, and staff and is an engaging and confident individual who will embody our employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, goal attainment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
Essential Functions:
- Work remotely during daytime business hours; interact via phone, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. Some travel to care centers may be required.
- Act as liaison between care centers and RCM resources; handle complex assignments requiring innovative thinking.
- Assist care centers with RCM-related questions, services, and issue resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis with thorough knowledge of the claim lifecycle.
- Analyze eCW and Tableau reports quarterly to identify opportunities related to RCM performance targets.
- Identify payer inconsistencies and denial patterns quarterly.
- Communicate performance and improvement opportunities to care center staff and RCM teams.
- Interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to determine payments, deductibles, co-insurance, and adjudication accuracy.
- Train new and current colleagues in RCM billing policies and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating new policies and procedures to improve RCM performance.
- Support team projects and collaborate with coworkers and managers.
- Perform other RCM-related duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of medical claims lifecycle and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet research.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong time-management skills.
- Team-oriented and collaborative.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Awareness of federal/state regulations in medical billing and coding.
- Knowledge of a second language preferred.
Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; undergraduate degree preferred.
- AAPC Medical Billing certification highly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ recent experience in practice management or medical billing/customer service.
- Specialized knowledge in medical billing, coding, HIPAA, payer guidelines, and federal regulations.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks highly preferred.
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
